The V8 in the Thema was not quite the same as the one in the Mondial/328 series. If I remember correctly it turned in the opposite direction to those. It also had a cross-plane crankshaft, was sligthly detuned and, allegedly, its assembly was subcontracted to Ducati.
Funnily enough some versions of the Thema 2.0 Turbo – which basically had a Delta Integrale engine – were as quick (if not as fast) as an 8.32. Th
